Blue Bee Relaunches Web Site, Focuses On Cutting-edge Designers And New Functionality

Jan. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- BLUE BEE RELAUNCHES WEB SITE, FOCUSES ON CUTTING-EDGE DESIGNERS AND NEW FUNCTIONALITY

Santa Barbara, CA – Blue Bee announced recently that it has re-launched the company’s Web site, with a new emphasis on cutting-edge, “under the radar” designers.  The site also has several new features, and a more modern Web design.

“At our retail stores, we have had great success with bringing in innovative designers that most people have not yet heard of,” said co-owner Marty Bebout.  “Our new Web site gives these designers a chance to take center stage and show off their work.”  The under-the-radar designers Blue Bee showcases include Sinclair, Aether, Caulfield Preparatory, Rogan, Serfontaine, and Spurr.

The site also features brands that have broad popularity, such as Seven for All Mankind, Joe’s Jeans, Da-Nang, Splendid, John Varvatos, and James Perse.  These popular designers will still have full collections on the Blue Bee site.

“We believe that part of our mission is to introduce the latest fashions to our customers,” continued Bebout.  “We’ve done a great job of that in our stores.  We wanted to continue that mission online, and our new site helps us to do just that.”

One of the site’s new features is a flash-animation section that highlights collections from featured designers.  Customers can also search for items in a variety of ways, by both product and designer, and when the results appear, customers can now see multiple views of the garments, as well as zoomed-in images.  Product views can also be sorted by a number of different ways, and the products themselves have more detailed descriptions to help shoppers find exactly what they are looking for.

More features will be added to the site over the next few weeks.  The lengthy list includes a wish list that allows customers to share their desired purchases with friends, a “send to your friends” email option to share images of new fashions, online gift certificates, built-in blogs, and updated designer bios.
