Jan. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- For the entire month of January 2011, LandaJob will pay the wages of every temporary employee on its payroll on Wednesday of each week. This will provide for all participating employers to receive up to a 20% reduction in temp staffing costs for the month of January.

The idea was the brainchild of LandaJob CFO Ralph Gilbert when watching the 1993 movie “Dave,” whose title character ran a temp agency and was fond of exclaiming, “Everybody works on Wednesday!”

According to Landa Williams, President and founder of LandaJob, “We’re excited about doing our part to get people back to work. There’s a sense that things are getting better in the economy, and we want to provide financial encouragement to employers who’ve been postponing hiring talent to move their projects forward.”

Founded in 1985, LandaJob specializes in temporary staffing and full-time direct hire for jobs in advertising, marketing, corporate communications, and graphic services. In the first quarter of 2011, LandaJob will surpass 1,000,000 total hours of temporary staff placements.
