Jan. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- To boost success with new year goals and  resolutions to live a happier, healthier life, the following 10 Tips have been found invaluable by Break-Free Fast coach and author Caryl Westmore to keep her clients - and herself - on track:

1. Do the groundwork. Like preparing a garden you need to first assess the soil in which you will be planting the seeds of your desired goals. How? Take a few hours to review your past year with pen and paper. List and celebrate your achievements. Acknowledge your disappointments/failures. Set a date now in your diary to do this exercise every six months so you can correct yourself mid-year if you go off-course.

2. Pinpoint your key ROLES. Your life is a balancing act between many roles - name them. Usually we play up to 10 roles in any one year. For instance my list includes the following nine roles:

• Wife

• Mother/Mentor to my grandson

• Writer/Author/Speaker

• Coach/Intuitive Healer

• Friend

• Promoter/Marketer of my own and client's services

• Self-Coach

• Spiritual Soul

• Internet Entrepreneur

3. Brainstorm at least one or two GOALS for each ROLE. These are your "sub-goals".

4. Choose one Golden Goal to be your main focus for the year. Then ensure you have that Golden Goal front of mind in all daily, weekly, monthly task planning and visualisation for the next 365 days of the year, starting NOW.

5. Make sure all parts of you are in agreement on the Golden Goal as well as your sub-goals. We often have "emotionally driven" aspects of ourselves (inner child/teenager) who ultimately sabotage our Adult decisions. Do inner dialogue with these parts (preferably with the help of a coach or practitioner of Matrix Reimprinting using EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) to get all parts of you congruent.

6. Chunk it down. Instead of saying your goal is to "lose 20 kg" - say to "drop 1 kg a week with maximum health and vitality - and keep it off!"

7. Know your WHY. The driving force behind why you want to achieve this goal will fuel your success.

8. Outpicture your goal in words and a collage/vision board that you see every day (next to your bed or above your desk in your home office). Get pictures from magazines and the internet that fire you up and include words in the collage. Keep a journal every day and write: "I am so happy and grateful that this (goal) has come to pass." Script the goal as vividly as possible as if it has already happened and you can run the movie of it on a screen.

9. Co-opt a "Success Team" - both imaginary and real-world to motivate and inspire your journey. Napoleon Hill recommended it as a "Mastermind group" in his classic self-help book Think and Grow Rich; Martha Beck, best-selling author of Steering by Starlight and Finding Your Own North Star suggests keeping a picture of your real world supporters - and imaginary cheer-leaders - above your desk and that's worked for me as I imagine them cheering me on with my projects and goals.

10. Reward yourself as you go. Martha Beck suggests three rewards a day to pacify and satisfy the part of you that needs stimulation in the Pavlovian sense of your animal nature to get things done. I treat myself to a reward at least once a day - even if it's only my luxury foam bath in the evening. I also make sure I do a weekly Artist's Date which Julia Cameron made famous in her Artist's Way book and teachings. It's a date where are alone with YOU and having fun, relaxation and creative time to explore.

For anyone stuck or procrastinating on naming or actioning their Golden Goal, Caryl recommends EFT-Matrix Reimprinting as the fastest way to release the self-sabotage, fear or blockage. "It is often something said or experienced in early childhood that has frozen up your energy and belief in yourself," says Caryl, "but clients also  find  answers by accessing a past life memory, releasing a recent traumatic event, or even moving forward to a Future Self," she says." The beauty of this method is that we can REIMPRINT a positive empowering memory to replace the negative block and this makes success almost guaranteed when it comes to goals and New Year resolutions."
