Metro Expo Opens New Year With Virginia/DC Area Show near Embassy Suites Dulles Airport

Jan. 4, 2011 - PRLog -- The January 21-23 Metro Expo DC show will bring together the United States Postal Service and more than 30 stamp dealers from across the nation with millions of dollars in stamps and covers from rarities to dollar covers [what collectors call old, used, envelopes] and 10¢ stamps.

The 22nd annual Metro Expo DC will be in Herndon, Va., at 13869 Park Center Road
(McLearen Road/Route 28). Retail show hours are Friday 11-6, Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 10-4; a dealers only bourse will be held Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Parking and admission are free.

Metro Expo DC is the first major show of the year in the mid-Atlantic region—and one of the most active.
Following the late-December/early January holiday season hiatus, participating dealers are especially well stocked, and eager to meet and greet visiting collectors, offering visitors stamps and postal history from the earliest pieces to modern new issues from the United States and around the world.
