Eton Institute Joins the Espanarab Kings Parade at Souk Madinat

Jan. 4, 2011 - PRLog -- Dubai, 04 January 2011 – Eton Institute, the UAE’s largest language training institute, will be sponsoring the fourth annual Kings’ Parade through Souk Madinat Jumeirah this Wednesday, 05 January. The annual Espanarab Kings’ Parade commemorates the journey of Their Majesties, Melchior, Gaspar and Balthasar across the dark Arabian Desert, guided by the light of the North Star. Along with their wisdom and blessing, the Kings carry a plethora of presents in a colourful array of fantasy, bringing joy and happiness to both children and adults.

This event is an excellent medium that showcases the vibrant Spanish culture and tradition, all for a good cause. In Spain, Mexico and Uruguay, there is an interesting age-old tradition in which children receive their holiday presents on the evening of 05 January in a festive environment of celebration. Spanish towns and cities are lit up with colourful processions, complete with majestic marching kings and their lively entourage of singing, dancing and candy throwing courtiers. The Kings’ Parade at Souk Madinat Jumeirah will recreate this magic for children in the UAE as well their parents.

Eton Institute, an active member of the local community, is a key sponsor of the King’s Parade. The institute, supporting this initiative as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy of promoting cross-cultural understanding, has previously pioneered several non-profit initiatives over the years such as English scholarship programmes for the underprivileged, free language courses every month, open community events and partnerships with established charitable organizations like Dubai Centre for Special Needs and Dubai Foundation for Women and Children.
