-- NEW YORK, JANUARY 3, 2011 – Andrea Hoffman, author, and CEO of Diversity Affluence, the New York-based consultancy specializing in diversity marketing communication, research and business development has joined the New York Advisory Board of Success for Kids (www.sfk.org)
Success for Kids (SFK) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to empowering at-risk children and adolescents to become resilient, productive citizens through its unique, research-based programs. SFK enhances four personal strengths (interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills, and improved self-sufficiency)
and gives students a greater sense of purpose in their lives.
Founded by Karen Berg in 2001, SFK has provided more than $25 million in direct service program support impacting more than 60,000 children and adolescents worldwide. “I am honored to have a seat on this advisory board. To positively impact children and help them realize their own power is important work. What are we here for if not to help others thrive, says Andrea Hoffman.”
As major product and advertising companies have come calling, Diversity Affluence also hired entertainment attorney and media producer Bernie Jackson. Mr. Jackson’s work has spanned from branded entertainment and film projects to working with artists such as Mos Def, Lil Kim to Michael Jackson, Mary J. Blige, and others. Mr. Jackson will provide consulting to media executives and help them develop content and new media marketing programs for distribution on the web or “Digiwood”
as he calls it. “I am excited about the various branded entertainment and alternative media projects we are developing. Today’s climate has presented an amazing opportunity for brands to create, support and distribute music and audio-visual content which delivers their message directly with its targeted market in a meaningful way” states Mr. Jackson. “The production of branded entertainment and music for independent distribution online has created an arena for talent who are being ignored by the major established distribution vehicles.”
