The Lupus Magazine introduces talented Singer/Songwriter Elisa Lynee

Jan. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Elisa Lynee is straight to the point.

“I’ve been this sick for twelve years… I just didn’t know why. Now I know why and I can get support from a community of others who have been facing the same things. I’m not alone anymore in this fight. I’m supported by a family of Lupies. With all this being said, I’m a mom, a photographer and a songwriter, but now I know I’m also a Lupie.”

Twelve years ago, around age 26, Elisa Lynee was living in LA and developed a clearly defined butterfly rash across her face. That moment changed her life as she knew it. She started getting constant fevers, severe rashes, swollen glands, bloody noses, high SED rates, sinus infections, tons of obscure allergies, raised liver levels, digestive problems, and muscle burning and pain. Doctors were baffled… She got no answers.

In the first edition of The Lupus Magazine for 2011, Geoff Thomas discovers a remarkable lupus advocate and follows the musical, and often frustrating lupus journey, of the girl behind the benefit song, “Fly Free Butterfly Fly Free”
