Cincinnati, Ohio Area Bed and Breakfast Giving Away 12, Two-Night Getaway Packages To Unemployed

Jan. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Bellevue, Ky--Weller Haus Bed and Breakfast, located in Bellevue, Kentucky and just across the river from downtown Cincinnati, wants to give some relief to 12 people that have been unemployed for the last 12 months.  Beginning January 2011, Weller Haus is asking people to send them their story about  being unemployed.  They will choose one deserving person per month whose story grabs them and offer them a complimentary two-night  "Get Me Away From My Life" getaway package at their property.  

"Times are tough everywhere", says Leanne Saylor, owner of Weller Haus Bed and Breakfast.  "The job hunt itself is stressful and the pressure on a family where one or both breadwinners are unemployed creates a situation where people  need a break, but can't afford to take that getaway", says Saylor.  Weller Haus Bed and Breakfast wants to help some of these folks get a much deserved rest from their everyday life and they have created the "Get Me Away From My LIfe" getaway package.

This package includes a two-night stay at the bed and breakfast, complete with all the amenitiesoffered at the property, including a full breakfast each day.  Added to the package will be a variety of offerings from other local businesses.  No two packages will be the same but they could include restaurant gift cards, massages, tickets to local attractions or discount offers.  The getaway is available for stays during the week checking in Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday nights and must be used within 45 days of being notified as a winner.  The property will allow you to reduce the stay from two nights to one if your schedule prohibits a two night vacation, but they will not substitute any other offer for the second night, nor will they let you split the two nights into separate visits.

"We think this type of offer will help a few people forget about their problems for 48 hours and we're happy to help them do that" states Saylor.  While Saylor indicates that she cannot claim this as her original idea--she read about others that have done something similar--she says "Great ideas are meant to be shared".

To be eligible for the promotion, you must have been unemployed for the last 12 months and be willing to share the details--how it happened, how it's affected you and your family, what you're doing in terms of your job search or if you're back in schools changing careers.  Weller Haus is asking that stories be limited to one page and include not only your personal contact details, but also contact information for your last employer.  Drawings will be held the 16th of every month and the overnight package must be used by the end of the following month--January 16 drawing must be used by February 28.
