About The Author

Shri RK Madhukar is currently the General Manager in the corporate office of Canara Bank at Bangalore. He is in charge of Strategic Planning, Marketing, Corporate Communications and Public Relations. A postgraduate in Economics, he also holds a postgraduate diploma in Industrial Management from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He has a rich and varied experience in banking, finance and management, and has occupied senior-level positions for four decades. He has served as the Chief Economist of the Indian Banks’ Association in the mid-1980s. He was the Chief Examiner for Bank Marketing for the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, Mumbai. He was a participant at the International Banking Summer School at Baden, Austria in 1993.

Shri Madhukar has an abiding interest in business planning, strategy formulation, vision building, marketing, business communication and public relations. A keen communicator and a regular resource person at the Staff Training Centres and in-house executive programmes, he has been closely associated with preparing varied study material and publication of booklets. He has presented papers in various seminars and has participated in national and international programmes on banking, finance and management. Shri Madhukar has authored books on Bank Marketing, Customer Relations and Business Communication, which have been widely used by universities and institutes across the country as textbooks and course material.
