Master Salons Announces Grand Opening Events to Benefit Local School Counselor
Master Salons in Woodbridge, Virginia is conducting a charity event January 14-15, 2011, in conjunction with its grand opening, to benefit Monclair Elementary School counselor, Heather Mainwaring. Mrs. Mainwaring was recently diagnosed with cancer.
The two-day event will begin on Friday, January 14, 2011, at 12:00 p.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Representatives of the Prince William Chamber of Commerce will be on hand to assist with the ribbon cutting, as well as other local business owners and professionals.
On Saturday, January 15, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Master Salons will offer free haircuts, free food, free mini-facials and more. In addition, we will have drawings for prizes that include hair and skincare products and services, as well as prizes donated by other local businesses. In lieu of payment for products and services, Master Salons will accept monetary donations, with all funds raised going to assist Heather Mainwaring and her family.
“Our school teachers give so much to our children. When we heard about Ms. Mainwaring, we knew we had an opportunity with our grand opening to give something back to someone who gives so much to others,” said Master Salons owner, Alma Wyatt.
