Dec. 29, 2010 - PRLog -- Old Town Cooking School in Pasadena is beginning the New Year with a salute to an American favorite.  Deb Swartz, a recognized chef and entertainment personality, is back with a new spin on some of our traditional American Pie favorites on Tuesday, January 4, 2011.  Learn and bake the secrets to making the perfect, buttery crust and fillings that make this dessert an American classic.

This new hands-on class is set in the comfortable and charming Casita Del Arroyo Clubhouse, located in Pasadena’s historic Arroyo Seco, just a pie's throw from the Rose Bowl.  

The calendar of classes in the weeks ahead is filled with exciting new concepts, and the reintroduction of some classics.  At the Old Town Cooking School, Chef Swartz invites a culinarily diverse group of enthusiasts into her kitchen to learn her cooking secrets.   From her cozy kitchen, she teaches each student how to equip their kitchens, prepare inspired recipes, select complementary wines, and to love cooking as much as they love eating!
