Essex County, Massachusetts Single-Family Home Sales Down, Median Home Prices Up November 2010
Essex County, MA single-family home sales drop while the median price increases in November 2010 compared to November 2009, according to data analyzed by Buyers Brokers Only, LLC.
The data were compiled using MLS Property Information Network, Inc, the local multiple listing service.
Single-family home sales in Essex County, MA decreased 24.4 percent in November 2010, a difference of 98 sales compared to November of 2009. The median price of a single-family home increased 6.3 percent in November 2010 compared to November 2009, a $19,250 increase.
Condominiums sales in Essex County, MA also decreased in November, dropping 35.6 percent compared to November 2009, a difference of 67 sales. The median price of condos decreased 4.9 percent in November, a $10,000 drop compared to November 2009.
Multi-family home sales in Essex County decreased 40.2 percent compared to November of 2009, a difference of 41 sales. The median price of multi-family homes were flat compared to last year, rising only $50.
