Baja Off Road Adventure
The Last Great Road Trip team is embarking on an off road adventure in search of friendship and desert solitude, as they head down the road less traveled. The expedition will cover 5,000 miles leaving Seattle, WA heading deep into the Baja Peninsula.
Two years in the making, the team has been preparing for the grueling demands of the Baja, chronicling their vehicle (Toyota FJ Cruiser) modifications and travel plans on the http://www.lastgreatroadtrip.com website. According to Paul Thompson, the team's project manager and driver “We will be off road, all alone for a 1,000 miles of Baja dirt roads, 4x4 trails and unmarked desert. This adventure presents us with new challenges to test the rig's durability and our driving skills. It also presents us with an opportunity to meet new friends and explore the Mexican culture.”
Retracing the famed route of the Baja 1000 race course from Ensenada, Mexico to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico the team will attempt to blog their experiences along the way. Similar to their past 4x4 adventures to the Arctic Ocean, San Juan Mountains and famed Rubicon trail, www.lastgreatroadtrip.com readers will be able to follow the adventurer's experiences as they happen, what ever they may be.

The team expressed its gratitude to friends, family and sponsors who have helped to make this adventure a reality. Their sponsors include: Metal Tech, Discount Tires, Amsoil, Fourtreks, Baja Designs and Maxtraxs. Mr. Thompson said "We owe our families and sponsors a great deal of thanks. Without their help this adventure would not be possible."
