R&B Artist Markus Polk to Release His Anticipated LP’ in January 2011

Dec. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- Houston, Texas----Kicking off his 2011 year with a bang, Markus Polk, along with Mperial Music Group,  break the mold with the release of his LP titled “It’s Just Me,” Tuesday, January 25th. The first single off the album "Tell Me", was released nationally and internationally on radio and online.  The reggae remix of the track featured Caribbean artist Curt Simeon.
“It’s Just Me,” self-written by the Houstonian, captures his experience and inspiration behind love, lust, pain and hope. From the infectious dance-beat driven-hip-hop song, “Tell Me," to the soulful and sexy track,"Role Play,” the album is sure to captivate a diverse audience. The four track album was recorded at SugarHill Studios, the oldest continuously operating facility in the Southwest United States. Sugar Hill Studios is known for manufacturing groundbreaking music for stars such as, Destiny’s Child, The Rolling Stones, Selena, Janis Joplin, as well as internationally recognizable and respected corporate clients such as, VH1, MTV, Cash Money Records, and Sony/Columbia Records.

In support of the album release Markus will also launch his newly revamped website and premiere his video for “Tell Me,” the same day of his LP release, January 25th. About Markus Polk:

Markus Polk is a 28 Year old R&B singer and songwriter hailing from talent enriched Houston, TX. His sonorous tone and passionate, urban infused lyrics, tells the story of his life experience. Markus began his affair with music when he started singing in the Boys and Girls Choir at Osborne Elementary.  He then continued his pursuit of music in middle school where he played in the band at M.C. Williams. After school, Markus continued pursuing music and soon became known as “Polk The R&B Thug.” As “Polk The R&B Thug,” he released 3 albums; Thug Passion volumes 1, 2 and 3, and Thug Passion the Album and was taken under the wings of some of Houston’s most prominent artist.
