Saffron Building Society staff celebrate fantastic 2010 Charity AchievementFollowing a year of fundraising, volunteering and advocacy for Little Haven’s Hospice, Saffron Building Society branches have been celebrating their year’s achievements.
By: Brand Experience Brentwood, Stratford and Great Dunmow branches teamed up, together with departments from the Society’s Head Office, to raise awareness of Little Havens’ work. Through fundraising at Strawberry Fair in Brentwood to teddy and cook book sales in branches, dress down days and taking collections at branch events, the team raised over £500 for the hospice. Caroline Nunn, Charity Coordinator for the branch teams said: “Little Havens was picked by our customers as a cause that they really wanted us to support, and we want to thank our customers for their generosity and support of our events. It means a lot to us to be able to make a difference to the children and families who use the hospice and we feel that all of our fundraising events have been well supported and really worthwhile”. Great Dunmow, Stratford and Brentwood Little Haven Hospice - respite breaks and end-of-life care for youngsters living with serious conditions. Royston, Ware and Bishop’s Stortford Kisses 4 Kids – Charity supporting children with serious or terminal illness through treats, leisure activities and granting wishes.
