UK media agency goes viral for Christmas in a homage to Benny Hill

Dec. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Space and Time Media, UK-based leading digital media advertising agency decided to return this year to creating a Christmas video with a twist for its clients and created a 9 minute mini-epic of Benny Hill festive hilarity.

Borrowing heavily from the famous speeded up chase scene in Hill's TV shows, the Space and Timers penned a Christmas Santa sack robbery with plenty of shenanigans including Santas, Elves, Nuns, Police, Fortune Teller and comedy pantomime Reindeer/Horse that starts with a client hoping for a wish to come true and played out through office, high street and local park, a robber is persued and finally Santa's sack returned and a happy client at the end.

Their clients were suitably prompted to view the video on media buying agency's website http://www.spaceandtime.eu.com/xmas/christmas-2010.html after all receiving dancing Santas in the post and what's more the music they ran along to was the Benny Hill theme-tune no less!

Jon Clarke, Head of Digital Media at the agency was quoted as saying "Shot in one day, on the only one it didn't rain and snow, Benny Hill must have been smiling down on all of us. The Benny Hill dancing Santa's were an inspired find after the shoot, puchased from New York, and we've been inundated and amazed with all the warm wishes and new business contacts we've received in the short time it's been live on the Net. I guess advertisers like to work with an agency that has a sense of fun, and knows its social media onions or Santas in this case and practices what it preaches."

The agency secured the rights to the music and wrote the script. Wildfire Studios UK Ltd directed, filmed and edited the 9 minute video adding special effects in the post-production.

The video was in itself a celebration to mark a succesful year which the UK media agency had, winning several high profile UK and European clients and expanding its media team in all 3 of its offices across England and Scotland, with digital media the compelling reason new business and employees joined them.

The video has been viewed in 24 countries to date and been seeded on all major social media and bookmarking channels.
