Bethpage Federal Credit Union Acquires Naming Rights To The Suffolk County Sports Complex
Bethpage Ballpark is New Home to the Long Island Ducks
By: Audrey Cohen
"Bethpage opened four new branch locations in Long Island in 2010 and our expansion plans over the next three to four years will be concentrated in Suffolk County with 10 new branches," said Bethpage President and CEO Kirk Kordeleski. "Partnering with Suffolk County and the Long Island Ducks is very much aligned with the Bethpage brand and centers on our commitment to our members and the community."
“This is a terrific opportunity for Bethpage to reach out to the community in an impactful way. We’re looking forward to continuing and growing our relationship with this great Long Island institution,”
Bethpage, which has been a sponsor of the Long Island Ducks organization and its youth programs for many years, will be working closely with the Ducks organization to develop fun, cross-promotional events and contests with each of its 22 branch locations, members and families that attend games. Through its Heart of Bethpage program, special event nights will be planned for children through the many affiliated not-for-profits it supports. Bethpage will also continue sponsoring the Ducks’ Sunday Kids Run the Bases and Autograph program, the sign on top of one of the dugouts, and this year added the Long Island Ducks Kids Club.
“Bethpage offers the best rates on Long Island and is rated #1 in service because we understand who we serve and the needs of the community,” continued Kordeleski. “We believe our core values are consistent with the philosophy of the Long Island Ducks organization which continues to offer reasonably priced tickets to ensure that families can enjoy a day at the park.”
"It is the responsibility of a community financial institution to not only serve the financial needs of the community but also be an active part of the community, said Linda Armyn, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Government Affairs. "We are proud to have the opportunity to name the home of the Ducks, the Bethpage Ballpark, and work closely with Suffolk County and County Executive Steve Levy, the town of Central Islip and Legislator Ricardo Montano, and the Long Island Ducks organization.”
“With a branch in Central Islip and other Suffolk County branch locations scheduled over the next few years, we are excited to be able to offer residents tie-in community programs,” added Armyn. “This partnership is a natural extension of our existing community outreach efforts including the annual Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach, and the charitable and volunteer projects we organize and support through our Heart of Bethpage giving program.”
Bethpage will be sponsoring the Long Island Ducks’ May 7, 2011 afternoon game and opening weekend, as well as one additional game over the summer. Tickets to games will also be distributed to Bethpage clients throughout the course of the season, and special contests and programs will be developed for members.
Bethpage maintains branch locations in Bay Shore, Bethpage, Central Islip, Commack, Elmont, Farmingdale, Freeport, Glen Cove, Hempstead, Huntington, Levittown, Lynbrook, Massapequa, Melville, Mineola, North Babylon, Port Jefferson, Riverhead, Seaford, Smithtown, Roosevelt and Westbury with over 250 surcharge ATMs in King Kullen, 7-Eleven, Walgreen’s and Costco locations throughout Long Island.
