Vision Source Las Vegas Hosts a Low Vision Open House on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011
Vision Source Summerlin/Lakes invites the community to learn more about what low vision is and the different treatment options available
By: Forte Creative Media
Enhanced Vision, a manufacturer of low vision products, will be on hand with their full line of low vision electronic products on display. Dr. Nagel, along with the Vision Source staff, will work with attendees who will be able to try out the latest low vision technology, including the Pebble Portable Electronic Magnifier and the Acrobat LCD Desktop Magnifier, two products designed to help make day-to-day life easier for people who suffer from low vision.
“With such a high population of senior citizens in Las Vegas, it’s especially important to be able to offer low vision services,” says Dr. Nagel. “This event is a great way to educate the community and let people know that these services do exist. Although there is no cure for low vision, we can work with patients to figure out a treatment plan to maximize their vision and improve their quality of life.”
Vision Source Summerlin/Lakes is located at 8937 W. Sahara Avenue, Suite A. For more information on this event, or to schedule an appointment for a low vision examination, please call the Vision Source Summerlin/Lakes office at (702) 254 – 3558.
