Mark Lassiter Releases His Latest Album - “helix”

Dec. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- Raleigh, N.C. – Dentist/ musician Mark Lassiter is releasing a remix EP called "HELIX" once again featuring current or former members of Foo Fighters, The Wallflowers, Collective Soul, Tonic and legendary James Taylor bassist Leland Sklar. The album was produced, mixed, and mastered by Canadian remix artist and multi-instrumentalist Clayton Worbeck. The album uses Clayton's sense of electronic musicality and combines it with traditional and pop elements including acoustic guitar as well as cello. Mark and filmmaker John Foutz also created a video in Charlotte, North Carolina for the single off the album called "Öne More Second" which will have it's worldwide debut in December. Mark and Clayton's collaborations have been compared to the band Massive Attack. The song "Living Past" was featured in the Grammy Museum in a video about session players including touring Foo Fighters keyboardist Rami Jaffee. The song will also be featured in the soon-to-be-released film, "Catch of a Lifetime" starring Matthew Ashford of Days of Our Lives.

The CD Release party for "HELIX" will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Pontiac Pointe Restaurant in Albemarle, NC. Located at 304 East Main Street, Albemarle, NC, 28001 at 8PM and will feature other artists and a DJ as well as the live public debut of Mark's video for "One More Second." Mark is the singer/songwriter who produced and co-wrote an album in 2009 called "Living Past" which featured over 30 professionals including legendary music industry professionals such as Ken Stringfellow, Lee Sklar, and then Collective Soul drummer Ryan Hoyle. The album was voted "Top 20 Indie Album" of 2009 by DJ and podcaster Zack Daggy. Mark recently signed with the Vyzion Entertainment label out of Raleigh, North Carolina. He is in the process of producing and co-writing with up and coming artists in North Carolina.
