New Motorcycle Tour Company Looks to Attract Untouched Tourist Segment to Ecuador

The new business is owned and operated by two accomplished motorcycle adventurers who completed a one-year tour, riding from New York City to Buenos Aires last year.   “We were looking for the best place in the Americas to live, and we wanted to share our love of motorcycling with those looking for new, exciting adventures,” explains Sylvain Gallea, 44 of Lyon France, co-owner of the new business.   “After our trip we decided that Ecuador is the country where we felt the most freedom and happiness, so we decided to move here and open our shop.”

Ecuador's combination of exciting and varied terrain and climates, excellent roads, and friendly people make it one of the best places in the world for year-round motorcycling.

The company was founded in March and began operations in Cuenca, but  moved to Quito in July, in order to better attract tourists from the United States, Europe and the Middle East who can easily fly into Quito's international airport.

The company now works with several local, professional tour guides that provide tours of various lengths from one day tours of Quito and surrounding areas to 15-day all inclusive tours of Ecuador by motorcycle.

Ecuador Freedom Bike Rental is  pioneering a new concept of “GPS Self-Guided Tours.”  With the self-guided tour option, the company provides a rental customer a motorcycle with a GPS computer navigation system installed.   The route for each day is programmed on the GPS system and each night's hotel stay is pre-paid.    There are no fixed starting or ending dates, so customers can choose their own starting date.  Customers can go alone or with a group of friends.   The price for the tours are all-inclusive, so the customers just need to show up, hop on the bike and follow the GPS instructions., safe in the knowledge that they will be traveling on the best motorcycling roads in Ecuador, staying in great, bike-friendly accommodations, and seeing some of the top sights and attractions Ecuador has to offer.  

Ecuador Freedom Bike Rental provides mountain bikes, motorcycles and motor-scooters for rent at hourly, daily and weekly rates.   All rentals are provided with unlimited kilometrage, helmets, locks, SOAT insurance, 24 hour breakdown support and delivery to hotels.   They also provide pick up and return to the airport.  

Renters can also enjoy other amenities such as special helmet-to-helmet communications systems so that riders can talk to each other while riding the motorcycles.   And they offer the optional Garmin GPS units, which provide turn-by-turn directions to any address in Quito and most major cities in Ecuador.   The GPS systems are the most up to date available for Ecuador.
