We need socks! Agape Love to help Atlanta, GA Homeless Children

Dec. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- Agape Love Gospel Jazz Trio will offer a Christmas Eve serenade  on-Friday December 24, 2010- 4:00 –6:00 P.M. at the Gateway Center, 275 Pryor Street, Atlanta, GA 30303.  Agape Love will collaborate with Serving God’s Kids, event host of “Feed 500”. Serving God’s Kid’s mission is to serve kids in need, especially orphans and the children of single moms. Donations of toys, socks and warm clothing are requested for the Feed 500 Homeless event. SGK  (http://www.servinggodskids.org/index.html)  was established in February of 2008, with its first mission trip to Casa de Elizabeth orphanage in Imuris, Mexico, approximately 2 ½ hours straight south of Tucson, AZ. In the following two years there were dozens more trips to Casa de Elizabeth. Serving God’s Kids (SGK), and Singles Serving Orphans (SSO) function as a part of Youth Support Inc., an IRS 501c3 non-profit tax-exempt organization established in1995.

Agape Love members currently perform in several orchestras across Metro-Atlanta. Nanci “Shug”  Baker is the principle French hornd of the Buckhead Youth Orchestra North Springs Marching Band and former principle French Horn for Dekalb Youth Symphony Orchestra, Beatrice  “The Queen” Baker is a member of the North Springs High School Jazz Band and  Georgia State Summer Youth Jazz Band. Rae “The Rocker” Baker is the first chair cellist for  Sandy Spring Middle School,  former first chair with the Dekalb Performing Arts Elementary School and cellist with MYSO (Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Agape Love was featured in Atlanta’s Skirt Magazine as the Fabulous Baker Girls in July of 2007. At current they play over 15 various string, brass and woodwind instruments. Agape Love performs with Divine Favour Ministries at outreach events across Metro-Atlanta and the United States.  Agape Love has played in nursing homes in Gary, Indiana and at the A. G. Rhodes Nursing Home in Decatur, Ga. They have also been featured on various TV and online radio shows across the world.
