Dec. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- After nearly two years in a consultative relationship, Scott Coulter, CEO of Alliant Personnel Solutions, Inc (APSI) and President of the Mike Minter Workforce Development Program, has announced that his organization and Minter Consulting have established a formalized relationship that brings a new and exciting technical relationship to both groups.

“This new relationship means that Minter Consulting can now approach such organizations as AT&T, Time Warner Cable, Verizon, Duke Power and so many others with the technical expertise to take on project management, design and facilitation as well as staffing and other technical aspects,” Coulter said.

For his part, Minter was equally energized by the potential impact the combination could have on the local community as well as throughout North Carolina and the Southeast.

“I remember when Scott and his partners approached me two years ago with their initial plans for the Workforce Development Program,” said the former All-Pro Carolina Panther. “Their intent was to offer training to unemployed, underemployed and military veterans in growth industries. Their focus was fiber optic and broadband training, and they later added photovoltaic/solar and customer service to their offerings. I immediately saw an opportunity to have a positive impact on the community I have chosen to call home. That’s why I chose to help them any way I possibly could.”

“That initial collaboration has been wildly successful,” according to Coulter. “Thus far, we’ve graduated nearly 600 students and, to the best of our knowledge, we’ve placed almost 50 percent of our graduates in new jobs. Now that might not sound like a whole lot, but I’ll bet it would be front page news if a new company were bring 300 or more new jobs to the area, and we’ve only scratched the surface of what we can accomplish.”

As for the new collaboration, Minter and Coulter maintain that it can only have a continuing and positive impact on the local and statewide economy, and will further enhance the potential of the training aspects.
