Dec. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Kansas City, Mo. – For the second year in a row, Grantham University, an online university dedicated to providing educational opportunities to working adults, partnered with the Kansas City Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) to award a full scholarship to one deserving spouse of a Non-Commissioned Officer in the Greater Kansas City area.  The University is pleased to announce that this year’s scholarship winner is Mrs. Wendy Clark of El Dorado Springs, Mo.

“It is an honor to award this scholarship to Wendy,” said Dr. Cynthia Hoss, provost of Grantham University.  “In the true spirit of a military spouse, she has dedicated her life to raising her family and supporting her husband while he serves in the U.S. Army, so she has never had the opportunity to reach her goal of earning a college degree.  I am delighted that Grantham and the Kansas City Chapter of the AUSA can help her achieve her dream.”

Mrs. Clark, whose husband serves with the 27th R&R Battalion, has been a stay at home mom for the last 20 years.  She has decided to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Health Systems Management.  “I will be a grandmother soon and would love to be able to go to college and get a degree to show my children and grandchildren that it is never too late to pursue your dreams,” she said.

The scholarship covers all tuition costs for Mrs. Clark’s undergraduate degree, required textbooks, software, fees and shipping of the course materials.  The scholarship is valued at approximately $36,000.

Grantham’s 100% online degrees allow students to access their coursework when and where it is convenient for them, so they can fit education into their lives instead of arranging their lives around education.  For more information, visit http://www.grantham.edu or call 800-955-2527.
