Admiral welcomes new telecoms customers with acquisition of STL Technologies telecoms division

Dec. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Admiral Group, a leading provider of IT, telephony and facilities management solutions, has acquired the telecoms division of ICT specialist STL Technologies, based in Bury St. Edmunds.  STL is renowned primarily for its expertise in supporting criminal justice organisations to deliver case management applications; part of its support operations included the delivery of telephone systems maintenance for its criminal justice clients as well as other businesses based across East Anglia.

The acquisition by Admiral of STL’s telecoms division allows STL to fulfil its strategic direction to concentrate on developing new technologies for the criminal justice client market.  Both Admiral and STL have worked together to ensure STL telecoms customers enjoy a seamless transfer to Admiral.  

Admiral’s telecoms division has grown rapidly over the past few years with a mixture of strong organic growth and strategic acquisition.  In 2008, Admiral successfully acquired Leeds-based Applegarth Communications which has placed Admiral as the UK’s largest Aastra Telecoms reseller, in addition to its strength with Mitel. Admiral customers also benefit from a complete IT services offering from the Admiral Group, including IT project management, network solutions, IT support and audio visual solutions.

Admiral manages telecoms for a wide variety of business sites across the UK, with a mix of SME and corporate clients including Department of Trade and Industry, National Portrait Gallery and Champneys health spas.
