Kencana Agri Limited Awards Commodity Trading and Risk Management Solution Offering to JustCommodity

Dec. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- JustCommodity Software Solutions, the leading solution provider of Commodity Trading and Risk Management software solutions, announced today that Kencana Agri Ltd., which is listed on the Singapore stock exchange, has selected ContraXcentral™ to manage its commodity and risk operations.

Kencana's integrated value chain comprises plantations, palm oil mills, kernel crushing plants, bulking facilities and logistics services, as well as a renewable biomass power plant to support and complement its plantation operations. The Group currently manages a total land bank of 188,784 hectares and total planted area of 43,340 hectares (including Plasma plantations). In addition to building a fourth palm oil mill to cater for the expected increase in future sales volume, Kencana plans to increase its planted area by 8,000 ha - 10,000 ha before 2011 and further double the planted area within the next few years.

Kencana recently posted a 328% 3Q2010 net profit increase to US$2.2 million.
