Dec. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Monday evening, December 6, 2010, the company received two coveted Awards for Professional Excellence at the 20th Annual Awards Holiday Celebration held by the Lehigh Valley Builders Association at the Best Western in Bethlehem, PA.   The LVBA awards program is one of the most prestigious programs in the state and is often likened to an Academy Awards of Home Building.  Judging of the numerous entries is done by a select committee of industry peers from the PBA—the state builders association.

Hanover Homes North Corporation's first honor came in the "Specialty Project Up to $30,000” category  for their creative and bold use of trim and millwork which resulted in the feel of a roomy rustic cabin in keeping with the spirit of home-as-vacation-lodge.   Something the Owners could step into and know they were not just home but at home.

Next, the company won in the “Single Family Home Up to $300,000” category for a one-story design aimed to make it look as though it were indeed a natural part of the landscape.  Creative use of stone, neutral almond siding and teak-colored architectural shingles visually connects this home with the environment.  Inside, the homeowners wanted a contemporary, open floor plan that was young in spirit but would accommodate their needs as they aged--but the homeowners did not want to feel that everything in their home was geared toward getting older. Sloped and angled tray ceilings, skylights, an expansive entertaining space, supporting  4 x 4 columns encased in stained pine panels, brushed nickel ceiling fans, lighting fixtures, and 6-panel pine doors throughout—results in an elegant but unpretentious home that blends seamlessly with the contour of the land as well as the needs and desires of the homeowners.

Hanover’s owners, Eve and Joe Peterson, combine their love for home building with a passion for unique architecture as well as creative approaches to match their homebuyers’ budget to their lifestyle and personality.  Eve and Joe believe the awards received are an affirmation that their company offers a fresh solution—with dozens of options and variations to choose from—that meet  the challenging demands of today’s market and homebuyers.
