Atlantic Toyota and Huntington Toyota are happy to carry Consumer Reports complimented Toyota Hybrids for buyers.
By: Porta Press Consumer Reports anonymously purchases the vehicles they want to test and then begin more than 50 evaluations which include performance, safety, convenience and fuel economy. There are very stringent requirements that vehicles must meet to be recommended. The Honda CR-Z Sport Hybrid did not pass the requirements as it was not recommended by Consumer Reports. There were features that caused the score to be so low that even if the Honda CR-Z was a reliable hybrid, Consumer Reports would still not recommend it. Some of the negative comments about the Honda CR-Z included in a press release from Consumers Reports said “the ride is stiff and noise levels are high...the stability control intervenes too late [and there is] lousy rear and over-the-shoulder visibility.” Atlantic Toyota and Huntington Toyota customers will be thrilled to know that both of these dealerships carry all of the hybrids that were recommended by Consumer Reports. Five out of six Consumer Reports categories of vehicles were named with Toyota at the top of the list. The fuel-efficient cars that Consumer Reports recommends are the Toyota Prius, Toyota Camry Hybrid, Toyota RAV4, Toyota Highlander Hybrid and Toyota Sienna.
