New interactive online home for Journey Latin America’s customer magazine

Dec. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- Specialist travel operator Journey Latin America are excited to announce the launch of a brand new fully interactive online version of their customer magazine Papagaio.  

The site, www.papagaio.co.uk replaces Journey Latin America’s bi-annual printed magazine which began in the mid 1980s, with an all-singing all dancing digital version.   The move, which is part of the tour operator’s 30th birthday ‘pioneering travel’ campaign, represents a brand new means of interacting with their customers, something which no other Latin American holiday company currently offers.

The new online magazine contains many of its readers favourite original features, including travel articles written by the UK’s leading journalists – but with functions to enable travellers to comment and share their views.  The site also displays a ‘photo of the day’ area which allows visitors to rate their favourite picture and every fortnight, the image with the most votes will win a Footprint guidebook. Latin aficionados will be kept up-to-date with the latest Latin American festivals occurring here in the UK and beyond. There is also a recipes section which includes a variety of cocktails including caipirinhas and for any questions on the continent, you can now ask a panel of Latin American travel experts. Follow Chris Parrott, one of the company director’s blog on his ‘Trail-blazing through the Guianas' group tour and get the inside track on Latin American cities, alternative Inca Trails and quirky festivals in the top five feature. Competitions will have a regular spot and currently there is the chance to win two return flights to Argentina.
