G&P Trucking Provides Free Transportation for Christmas Wreaths to Honor Veterans

Dec. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- G&P Trucking Company (www.gptruck.com) recently volunteered its services to pick up and deliver Christmas wreaths for the graves of veterans all across South Carolina, announced Clifton Parker, President and General Manager of the company.

G&P Trucking worked with Wreaths Across America™, a national project of the Worchester Wreath Company in Harrington, Maine, to place wreaths on the graves of military veterans in South Carolina. The company volunteered to send a driver and a company truck to Maine to pick up the wreaths and deliver them to veterans’ cemeteries in South Carolina.  

“We were able to deliver wreaths to cemeteries across the state,” says Parker.  “It’s just a small way that we can give something back to all those veterans who have helped preserve the freedoms we enjoy today.  We consider it an honor to take part in the Wreaths Across America Program.”  

Deliveries took place on December 2 at the Kershaw Cemetery in Kershaw, Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, as well as Oakwood Baptist Church in West Columbia for the Florence National Cemetery.  Wreaths were also delivered to the Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort and Six Oaks Cemetery on Hilton Head Island on December 3.
