Dec. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- Vancouver, B.C. – Have you ever worked out with a personal trainer and thought to yourself “I'd like to see them do this”? Momentum Fitness clients (www.mfit.ca) will once again have the opportunity to put their trainers through the paces and raise funds for a worthy cause. Momentum Fitness will be holding its10th annual Train the Trainer holiday charitable event on Saturday, December 11th, 2010 from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm at their studio - 1762 West 8th Avenue, with all proceeds going to Room to Read (www.roomtoread.org).

Train the Trainer is a once a year opportunity for Momentum Fitness clients to inflict their least favorite exercises on their personal trainer. The revenge comes with a price, a donation to charity, and year after year the trainers and clients at Momentum Fitness have made this entertaining event an ongoing success.   To date, Momentum Fitness and their clients have raised $40,000 through this event.

Momentum Fitness is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year and co-owners Barry Duncan and Nikki Layton hope to make this year’s event their best yet as they continue to support many charitable endeavors throughout the year.

Train the Trainer is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to come down for sushi, drinks and fast paced entertainment as fitness professionals get a taste of their own medicine.

Room to Read, a non-profit organization, seeks to transform the lives of millions of children in developing countries by focusing on literacy and gender equality.  Room to Read is also celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year and has made great strides in their first decade. Room to Read’s projects have benefitted over 4 million children by building over 1100 schools, establishing over 10,000 libraries, providing scholarships for 10,000 girls and publishing over 430 unique children’s books in 22 languages.  Give the gift of literacy this holiday season. www.roomtoread.org
