Sudanese Rap Phenom Bangs Gets Into The Spirit With New Holiday Single, ‘a Christmas Story’
Rap Phenom Bangs gets Into The Holiday Spirit, Percentage of Single’s Proceeds Will Go to The International Rescue Committee
BANGS became intimately familiar with the IRC’s reach when his own family had to flee the war torn Sudan region of East Africa. The family escaped to Egypt, and then to Australia, where he now lives. “I love my country Sudan and Africa; I want to do everything I can to help bring more attention to the suffering there. There is no Christmas in Sudan. Thank you to all my friends and supporters here in Australia, the U.S. and all over the world.”
Following the overwhelming success of singles “Take U To Da Movies” and “Meet Me On Facebook,” BANGS has been featured in a commercial for Honda’s Jazz vehicle. The artist and his music have also been featured on VH1’s The Shortlist. He recently signed to HSM Entertainment and is already moving ahead into the New Year: in early 2011, will tour in the U.S., United Kingdom and Japan. He is also recording material for full-length album, tentatively titled “I’m Still Moving.”
The singles “A Christmas Story” and “Take U To Da Movies,” together with BANGS ring tones and voice tones (including new Happy Chanukah voice tones) are all available for download at iTunes, Amazon.com, Virgin Mobile, Telefonica, Rhapsody and more.
