Overnight hiking trips:
The 15 Day Emerald Tour: Experience the best the whole of Ireland has to offer. 15 Days of pure exhilaration. This tour starts and ends in Dublin. It includes Mount Brandon in County Kerry, the Dingle Peninsula, the Cliffs of Moher, the Connemara, Slieve League (among Europe's highest sea-cliffs), the Giants Causeway, and Newgrange.

7 day Southern Gem or 7 day Northern Gem Tours: If 15 days are too long, why not take half of the Emerald Tour and make it a 7 day tour of either the southern parts or the northern parts of the Island? The Southern Gem Tour starts in Dublin and ends in Galway, and includes Mount Brandon in County Kerry, the Dingle Peninsula, and the Cliffs of Moher. The Northern Gem tour starts in Galway and ends in Dublin, and includes the Connemara, Slieve League (among Europe's highest sea-cliffs), the Giants Causeway, and Newgrange.

Connemara, Burren & Aran Islands 8 day tour: One of the most famous counties in Ireland and deservedly so with spectacular mountains, lakes, charming towns and village, and archaeological sites that date to 5000BC. This tour will take you to some of the most scenic and remote areas of Ireland. You will stay in the amazing Connemara, travelling to the Aran Islands and then finally stay in Doolin and the Burren National Park. Nice relaxing walking with amazing views each day.

Donegal, Antrim & North Coast 8 Days tour: Donegal is renowned for its remoteness and the Antrim coastline is for its natural beauty. If you really want to get away from everything this is the one for you. This tour will take you from Dublin to Donegal town where you will be staying for 3 nights before a night in the North West Gweedore region. After that you will be heading towards the north coast and spending a few glorious days in Northern Ireland and walking through its glens and along the basalt lined coast.

Dingle 8 day Tour: Experience one of the most amazing peninsulas in the world! 8 days of delightful scenery and walking. On this trip you will get to see the most scenic, historically significant and important part of this world famous peninsula.

Kerry 8 day Tour: This tour will take you from the lively town of Killarney around the full Ring of Kerry or circle of the Iveragh peninsula staying in little villages and visiting the Skellig Islands - a world heritage site that was inhabited by monks in the 6th century. Two islands that are beside each other that are like pyramids sticking out of the sea. Little Skellig is home to over 40,000 gannets. Make sure you wear a good hat or you may get blessed while visiting this place!

Themed hiking trips:

Irish Castle Tour: Sligo/Donegal – Discover the rugged landscape of Donegal and the romantic countryside of Yeats’ Sligo, while staying in an Irish castle! This tour begins and ends in Dublin. This is an 8 day tour with 4 nights in Donegal and 3 nights in Sligo. You will be staying in the famous Markree Castle in Sligo. In Donegal we will be staying in two different locations to give us the best variety of what is to offer. This tour is not to be missed. It is a special feeling to stay in an Irish Castle and on this tour you will stay in one of the most historical and amazing castles in the country. Islands of Ireland Tour: This new tour is a little different than any we have done before and it will be a more relaxing journey through old Ireland where you will spend much of your time off the mainland and on islands mostly in the Atlantic -windswept and isolated. This is for people who really want to get away from everything and get back to nature. We will be going to some of the remotest islands and peninsulas of Ireland. This tour begins and ends in Dublin and there will be only two tours this summer running, unless we are completely booked out, we will not be running another. The price includes all ferry journeys, breakfast and lunches each day.


Canoeing & Hill walking Midland Tour: Canoeing and Hiking Vacation - A very special way to see the middle of Ireland. This is once again a new departure for us with a mixed activity holiday to offer you. On this terrific trip you will canoe down the Barrow River to some of the most beautiful scenery the midlands of Ireland has to offer. For all levels, this trip can be made to be as exciting as one wants. Relax along the river if you wish, or fire down the rapids. In the hands of your experienced guide you will be guided to whatever limits you choose. I found the first time that I did this trip that it was one of the most relaxing and peaceful trips I have ever gone on. Inbetween canoeing between villages, we will be hiking in the local hills and valleys to truly show you what this amazing area has to offer.

Wicklow Full Moon Walk: Experience the Wicklow Mountains on our special Full Moon walks! These began in 2008 and will be still going well in 2028 with the feedback we are receiving from everyone. It is a spectacular opportunity to experience the mountains during a full moon.
One-day themed excursions:

Photography Tour: Do you want to improve your photography skills? Whether you're an absolute beginner with no experience, or you've been photographing for years, we at Extreme Ireland are going to bring to you years of experience from some of the finest photographers in Ireland. From understanding how to use your camera effectively to seeing and capturing beautiful light, these weekend- and longer tours will leave you exhilarated and wanting more and more time out and about. We offer trips on two levels:  A 'Learning to See' - Beginners Weekend or 'Seeing the Results' - Improvers Weekend.

Art Tours: If you come on this adventure with us you will be invited to see Wicklow with a new perspective. You will be given the opportunity to explore your creative talents through clay, learn new skills, and have fun. We will be visiting some really beautiful places, and discovering the magic of Wicklow, literally on the doorstep of the capital.

Rock Climging to to Dalkey Quarry,Dublin. This amazing facility is available to us very close to the city centre. There are endless Climbing routes available for all levels. Our qualified guides will make sure everyone gets to learn all the basics of rock climbing. Everyone will get to abseil off vertical walls and overhanging crags! This is a thrill that you cannot miss. For the more experienced climber multi pitch Rock climbing is available. So if you are a complete beginner or you want to improve your Rock climbing, Extreme Ireland will arrange everything for you. We provide all the equipment needed for a great fun day out on the crag.

We can also tailor make a tour for you, if you so wish. In February 2011 we are planning a trip to Norway, for instance.
