GSA Rocky Mountain Region contract awarded to MacDonald-Bedford LLC

Dec. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- ALAMEDA, California, 7 December 2010 – The General Services Administration (GSA) Rocky Mountain Region has awarded a five-year, $5 million dollar Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to MacDonald-Bedford LLC, along with its notable subcontractors Faithful+Gould and Ulteig Engineers, to provide construction management and inspection services for GSA projects throughout the states of Montana, Utah, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Colorado.

MacDonald-Bedford (M-B) will manage the work from its new branch office in Denver. Mr. J. M. “Mike” Wonsik, P.E. will assume leadership of the Denver office and manage all M-B projects within the region.  Mr. Wonsik is an accomplished engineer with an enviable background in program and project management, construction, engineering, facilities maintenance and operations.

MacDonald-Bedford is proud to be partnered with Faithful+Gould and Ulteig on this project. Faithful+Gould is a construction consultant with whom M-B has collaborated on numerous efforts and is one of the world’s leading total solutions providers for the built environment. For more than 60 years, the company has provided project management and cost management services on construction and engineering projects across the globe. M-B also is honored to be partnered for the first time with Ulteig, a fast-growing multidisciplinary and full-service firm that offers Building, Civil, Energy and Land Services across the Rocky Mountain Region. Ulteig has eight locations throughout the region and brings to the team significant experience providing construction management and engineering services.

GSA Rocky Mountain Region is a main builder, developer and manager of over 605 federally owned and leased properties within the region. The contract will include renovation projects, facility repairs, work in historic buildings, and new construction. The construction management and inspection services include providing qualified design review, project coordination and reporting, contract administration, cost and schedule control, and quality assurance functions.
