Dec. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- LINDON, UTAH— AccessData, the pioneers of digital investigations and litigation support, announced the opening of a Sydney, Australia office to meet the needs of a growing community of eDiscovery, computer forensics and incident response clients in that region.

AccessData's award-winning flagship product Forensic Toolkit (FTK) has been the product of choice among computer forensics investigators in Australia for several years. The company also provides advanced incident response and e-discovery technology to support government agencies and corporations throughout the country. With the growing demand for the company’s e-discovery technology, which was built on FTK, the company realized the need for an Australian office to better serve its clients.

“The e-discovery climate is very different in Australia than it is in the U.S., due to the Federal Court making standards with very specific requirements. We look forward to working closely with our clients to ensure they are complying with these requirements,” stated Brian Karney, President and COO of AccessData Group.

The latest version of its e-discovery software solution, AccessData eDiscovery 3.3, incorporates support for data formats specified by the Federal Court Practice Note CM 6, as well as the load file format used by the Ringtail legal document review and production platform. However, even though AccessData places great importance on ensuring its solutions accommodate customers’ existing technologies, such as Ringtail, AccessData is looking to broaden the Australian user base of it newly acquired review technology, Summation.

“Our recent merger with CT Summation really bridges the gap between two best-of-breed technologies AD eDiscovery and Summation,” stated Brian Karney, President and COO of Access Data. “By opening an office in Australia, it allows us to work more closely with Australia’s litigation support professionals, providing easy-to-use software solutions that will literally walk them through the entire e-discovery lifecycle.”

The company’s e-discovery technology address the e-discovery lifecycle from legal hold to attorney review and case data management, which is performed using tools such as Ringtail or AccessData’s own Summation platform. The Summation legal review platform is currently the world's leading legal review and case management technology.
