Local Bartender and Owner of With A Twist Wins Best Bloody Mary in the South Bay Contest

Pernod Ricard USA and Absolute Vodka sponsored The Best Bloody Mary in the South Bay contest at Fat Face Fenners Fishshack.  Eight local bartenders entered the competition and were given free reign to make their version of a Bloody Mary using Absolute Vodka.  A panel of three judges from Pernod Ricard watched the process, tasted and judged based on presentation and taste.

The First Place winner of the competition was awarded to Troy Alarcon.  Troy is a local bartender at The North End and Underground in Hermosa Beach and he is also co-owner of WIth A Twist: a boutique event bartending service company.  His unique, but classic bloody mary, garnished with two olives and a dill pickle, took the prize of $200 and earned him the title of Best Bloody Mary in the South Bay.

Troy stated, "I just put together the same Bloody Mary that I've been making for years; the one that has been bringing my regulars back to life every Saturday morning."  You can visit the Underground on Saturday mornings or the North End on Sunday mornings to taste The Best Bloody Mary in the South Bay.
