CM Award Winning Cameron Marion Releasing FREE Christmas Single on 12/10!

Dec. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Award-winning singer, songwriter and country music artist, Cameron Marion, will be on WFMY News 2 in Greensboro, NC, in their "Live From Studio 2" segment, between 6:00-8:00 AM on Friday, December 10. She will be playing a few Christmas songs, along with an original song from her newly released EP.

In addition, Cameron has decided to record and release the classic, 'White Christmas', as a FREE mp3 download on her website that day.

Cameron's version of 'White Christmas' will also be released on a Christmas compilation Album in partnership with Toys For Tots, called ‘BELIEVE’ (digital release date is also 12/10). Fans will be able to download the full album from the BELIEVE website. The download process is set up where people can donate however much they would like for the album, whether $0 or $100, with 100% of donations going to the Toys For Tots foundation.

‘BELIEVE’ features holiday classics and originals from Paula Deanda, Jaden Michaels, Nikki Flores, Preston Harris, Jessica Martinez, BCG, Don Perignon, Kaci Brown-Monroe, CJ Blair & Cameron Marion.

The compilation's purpose is so that "Every person can have a wonderful holiday season, and no one ever stops believing."

Cameron is from the small town of Kernersville, North Carolina. She grew up in a very musical family, and Cameron was soon singing along to an eclectic mix of artists such as Bette Midler, Stevie Nicks, Barbara Streisand, Michael Jackson and Anita Baker before she was even out of diapers. Even at such a young age she craved the spotlight and kept all of her family and friends entertained.

Cameron started dancing at the age of five, and since then has become well versed in all forms. She attended the prestigious University of North Carolina School of the Arts in their preparatory dance program as a child, and also grew up competing and winning titles in many regional, state and national dance and talent competitions. Throughout the years Cameron sat in and guest sang with local bands at many festivals, clubs, and events before she was out of high school. During that time she was also the lead singer in her church's youth band, where she was in the position to lead week-long praise and worship for hundreds of youth at the PMBA Fall Ridgecrest Retreat. She also has frequented many sporting events throughout the south over the years to lead the National Anthem and has opened ACC & SEC basketball games that have aired on ESPN, Fox Sports South & Raycom Sports.

Cameron has been fortunate enough to have worked in the studio with writers and producers for the NFL, *NSYNC, Jennifer Lopez, Reba McEntire, Aaron Carter, NKOTB & R. Kelly. She has been sought out to demo songs for different songwriters and production teams in many genres, and has opened for and/or shared the stage with Cartel, The Little River Band, Jeff Cook of the Legendary Country Band ALABAMA, Jordan Knight & Donnie Wahlberg from the New Kids on the Block, and Multi-platinum Country Recording Artist Gretchen Wilson, to name a few.

In October of 2005, Cameron picked up and moved from her hometown in NC to Orlando, Florida, after auditioning and making one of three spots in the all-girl pop/urban trio Total Knock Outs, which then transplanted her to Hollywood, CA. TKO was headed up by Angel Carter (reality star on the E! Channel's "House of Carters", and sister to Backstreet Boy, Nick and brother, Aaron Carter of Dancing With The Stars). But, after release of a single in 2007, a hiatus from the group led to Cameron returning to the south to pursue her solo project where her roots lie in country fused music. Cameron is a two-time Carolina Music Awards winner for Best Female Country Artist in 2008 and 2009.

Cameron’s EP (short album) was released on October 5, 2010 and is also available for sale on her website at a special holiday price. She’s been featured in many local magazines, radio, print ads, television guest spots, and most recently you can find her as the co-host for a series of infomercials and commercials that air throughout North Carolina.
