Top 500 SBA Lenders of 2010

Coleman Publishing recently released The Coleman Report 500, data gathered by the SBA regarding SBA 7(a) loan approvals by the federal government for FYE ending September 30th, 2010.

Dec. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- The Coleman Report 500 takes the SBA raw data and provides readers with top 100 banks by loan number, top 100 banks by loan volume and top 500 banks overall as well as historical lender leaders and lending trends.

“There are green shoots in the credit desert.  While we aren’t anywhere close to 2005 numbers, this year’s 47,000 loans for $12.5 billion are encouraging for Main Street.  Leading the industry for the second year in a row is Wells Fargo with $871 million with three new community banks in the top ten”, writes Coleman Report 500 editor, Bob Coleman.  “We take the SBA data and make it simple to understand and easy to use.”

The Coleman Report and its annual edition, The Coleman Report 500 has been published since 1993 by Bob Coleman, the nationally recognized expert on small business banking.  Bob has appeared on Fox Business News (Your Business, Your Money; The Willis Report; Morning News) and CNN (CNN Money) and has been quoted by most major financial media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and Bloomberg.
