Late night opening of Drayton Manor Theme Park's Thomas Land shop

Parents looking for the ideal Christmas gift for fans of Thomas & Friends™ are in for a festive treat when late night shopping comes to Drayton Manor Theme Park’s Thomas Land shop.

Thomas Land reopened as part of Drayton’s Magical Christmas on Saturday 27th November. The Thomas Land shop will remain open until 8pm every Thursday in December (2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd), giving families the chance to buy the perfect Christmas present for any fan of the little blue engine and his friends.

To celebrate the late opening, special vouchers can be downloaded from the park’s Thomas Land UK Facebook site, which will allow shoppers to receive 20% off wooden engines and 10% off all other products bought during the late opening.

Visitors who are already in Thomas Land will be allowed to remain in the attraction after the rides close at 5pm to do their shopping. Meanwhile, people coming specifically to visit the Thomas Land Shop will be allowed free entry from 5pm onwards.

The shop stocks hundreds of different items, including toys, merchandise and collectables, making it the biggest retail outlet selling Thomas the Tank Engine merchandise in the country.

Colin Bryan, Managing Director of Drayton Manor, said: “Last year, we had late opening on just two evenings, but it proved to be so popular that this year we’re decided to have the late opening on four nights.

“The Thomas Land shop is full to the brim of toys, so I’m confident that it will have the ideal gift for every Thomas fan, regardless of their age.”

Drayton’s Magical Christmas will run until Sunday 2nd Jan 2011, but will be closed to the public on 4th, 24th, 25th & 26th December.
