Dec. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- The UK's largest cashback and voucher code site, Quidco, will be supporting children’s charity, the NSPCC, this Christmas by donating £1 to the charity every time a member registers with its in-store cashback service and makes a purchase.

The money Quidco donates to the NSPCC will enable the charity’s telephone helpline ChildLine to recruit and train more counsellors to answer calls from children over the Christmas period.

By registering a credit or debit card at http://www.quidco.com/in-store-cashback and then purchasing something in store at retailers such as B&Q or Dorothy Perkins, £1 of Quidco’s money will be donated to the NSPCC.  Every purchase will result in cashback for the shopper and other stores in the scheme include Halfords, Sports Direct and Austin Reed.

Lucy George, Development Manager of Fundraising at NSPCC said “ChildLine expects to counsel nearly 2,750 children across the UK during the Christmas period.  Of all those children, it is anticipated nearly 15 will be at such serious risk of abuse that their case will need to be referred to the police or social services.

“Quidco’s generosity will help ChildLine protect all of these children this Christmas.”

Hannah Green at Quidco said, “While the Christmas period is an exciting time for many children, there are thousands that need support from services such as ChildLine.  Every person that registers a debit or credit card with Quidco will help make those children’s Christmas brighter by enabling the NSPCC to recruit more volunteers.

“Registering their card will also let them accumulate cashback on their Christmas shopping.  Thousands of our members earn hundreds of pounds each year which they then put towards holidays, treats or donate to charitable organisations such as the NSPCC.”
