ABSEM Gets VPM's automotive site network back on the road with Pay Per Click Marketing management

Dec. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- It's been a tough time in recent years for the automotive industry, yet Chicago based Virtual Project Manager Inc. continues to grow, thanks to business development and search engine marketing expertise from search marketing agency ABSEM.

Founded in 2003 by brothers Mike and Dennis Lambert, VPM has grown into a business with a number of websites, attracting visitors and generating sales leads for new and used car sales, insurance and finance.

The business grew steadily up until 2009, when it reached the ceiling encountered by most small businesses; the founders no longer had enough time to run the business and implement all the new ideas and projects that were critical for the business’ continuing growth and long term stability.

ABSEM's approach was to identify the areas where they knew that VPM would be pushing against the tide and highlight new areas where they could potentially break into. After carefully reviewing the accounts, ABSEM knew the Auto Financing industry was in a downward spiral as part of the overall 'credit crunch', and ABSEM advised VPM to reduce their PPC spend for AutoFinancing.net.

However, it was important that the traffic did not drop drastically as VPM were generating revenue from advertising space. Using their PPC Management expertise, ABSEM cut down on negative ROI and brought the account to the point where PPC spend was enough to maintain traffic without losing money. However, in order to maximize advertising revenue, ABSEM had to look at the website from an SEO point of view and distinguish it from other, less reputable auto financing websites.

ABSEM reviewed new car spend and traffic patterns on Auto.GetAStart.com and were immediately able to reduce negative ROI whilst maintaining conversion volume. However, in an effort to scale lead volume and compete with the bigger players in what is a very competetive market, ABSEM decided to target long tail and even longer tail keywords. After two months of testing, restructuring, and ad copy testing, ABSEM moved onto managing keyword inventory with new models and quicker turn arounds in implementing new year models. ABSEM proposed that VPM should test sending traffic to their other domains such as CarFinderService.com for car makes and models where VPM had a chance to compete with improved profit margins.

Mike says that within a very short time, “We’ve seen increases in our page ranks and the search engines are definitely looking at our websites more positively, thanks to ABSEM’s work. Our new lines of business have immediately been a big success. We can see the source of every lead, the campaigns that ABSEM created and optimized for us are performing well and we have been able to open up new lines of business that we hadn’t previously explored”.
