Rpi Wins Judgments, Ruling On Adventus Conduct Pending

Dec. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Golden, Colorado – Remediation Products Inc.’s Trap & Treat® BOS 100® environmental remediation product does not infringe five Adventus patents, the company announced today. The announcement was preceded by summary judgment rulings by the U.S. District Court of the Western District of North Carolina, which effectively put more than five years of conflict and subsequent litigation to rest, leaving RPI free to focus on its burgeoning in situ remediation business.   The Court’s ruling on the enforceability of the original “iron wall” patent (Gillham ‘213, which expired on November 30, 2010) has been deferred, pending the Federal Circuit Court’s review of the legal standards for inequitable conduct and fraud.

“Our goal in this litigation was always to defend BOS 100® against Adventus’ claims of infringement and to stop the harassment of our clients by Adventus,” says Scott Noland, President of RPI.    “BOS 100® has proven itself to be a uniquely effective product and RPI believes that Adventus brought these claims to discourage current and potential clients from doing business with our company.”
