Pan Pacific Seattle hosts 2200 Holiday Celebration; Thurs, Dec. 2 Event Benefits Sea Humane Society

Dec. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- On Thursday, December 2, Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle and 2200 Plaza will host a South Lake Union neighborhood holiday celebration benefiting the Seattle Humane Society.

WHEN:              Thursday, December 2
                        Celebration: 6:00 pm-7:30 pm

The Seattle Humane Society MaxMobile adoption unit will be at Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle’s 2200 Plaza from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Costume contest competitors are encouraged to come early to register their pet at 5:45 pm.

WHAT:               An annual holiday celebration for South Lake Union and surrounding neighborhoods including a holiday shopping passport offering various discounts from local shops and restaurants. The public is invited to attend this complimentary event and celebrate the holidays along with Pan Pacific Seattle and other local businesses.

Festivities will include a costume contest for canine companions, holiday caroling from Seattle favorite Figgy Pudding and an appearance from the Seattle Humane Society’s MaxMobile and live entertainment in the Lobby Bar by Bamboo Beats from 6:30 pm-9:30 pm. The winner of the canine costume contest will receive a one-of-a-kind, doggy swag bag from Scraps Dog Bakery and boutique.

Throughout December, Pan Pacific Seattle will donate the $50 pet cleaning charge to the Seattle Humane Society. Passport holders enjoy a 25 percent discount on food and beverage in the Pan Pacific Lobby Bar from Nov. 17– Jan. 2, 2011.

WHY:                 In partnership with Vulcan Real Estate, Pan Pacific is hosting this holiday celebration to provide a fun, festive community event. All proceeds and donated goods will benefit the Seattle Humane Society.

WHO:                 The event is free of charge and welcomes the general public and canine companions. Zipcar will donate a pet carrier for every on-site adoption. Special guest John Curley will emcee the event. Curley is an auctioneer focused on charity organizations and the former host of King 5 TV's Evening Magazine.

During December, Pan Pacific will be collecting cans of food (pet or human) for donation. Pet food will be donated to the Seattle Humane Society. Regular food will be donated to the Great Figgy Pudding’s annual food drive benefitting Pike Market Senior Center & Downtown Food Bank.
