Follow on Google News | VHS AP Exam Scores Outpace National AverageVirtual High School Global Consortium has released their 2010 AP exam scores, which, for the 5th consecutive year, outpace national averages.
By: Arnold Communications The organizations overall AP exam pass rates were 2.5% above the national average. In the subject areas of AP English Language, AP Government & Politics and AP Calculus, VHS student performance far outpaced the national average with a margin as high as 30.9%. Course AP Calculus AP English Language AP Government & Politics “These scores reflect our commitment to helping students succeed in advanced level courses, whether it be honors level, pre-AP, AP, International Baccalaureate or accelerated courses for gifted middle school students,” said Liz Pape, President of VHS. “Many of the courses we offer are those that many schools do not have the resources to offer in-person.” Designed to supplement a school’s in-person curriculum with online courses, Virtual High School (VHS) is a non-profit collaborative of high schools, teachers and students. Teachers who are certified in their specific discipline, and who have completed a VHS professional development program, facilitate and continually monitor all courses.
