Pleasure Point, located on the East Side of Santa Cruz, was once home to bordellos and bootleggers. Because of excellent protection from the prevailing northwesterly winds and it's proximity to the world famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Pleasure Point became the natural location for much of what was considered fun but illegal back in the prohibition days.

Still called Pleasure Point, it is now home to what can only be described as one of the world's greatest collection of surf spots. 26th Ave., Wind and Sea, Rockview, First Peak, Second Peak, O'Neill's house, 38th Ave., The Hook, Sharks, Privates, Trees, and all the way down to Capitola, you can surf every one of these spots beginning at the first and ending at the last in Capitola.

Pleasure Point Hotel is comprised of 12 small apartments in a single story spanish style courtyard inn. They have transformed the end unit into a beautiful one bedroom apartment that is located on the footpath to Rockview. The beach steps are literally 20 steps from your door. They offer board storage and can arrange for a board of your style and wetsuit if you don't happen to have your gear with you.

They can accommodate up to 4 people, with a queen sized bed in the loft and a full sized bed in the bedroom. Brand new shower, bath and kitchen await you. Wireless internet access, cable TV and luxury linens are just part of the fun. Located right on East Cliff drive, you will be in the heart of the action.

Walk down to Capitola Villiage, or spend your day on the sand at 26th Ave. beach, one of the best in the county. Surf, boogie, or just hang out and enjoy what has been bringing people since the Oholone Indians made it their home.
