A kettlebell is an iron or steel ball with a handle on it , most movements are ballistic based and this is why training on them is unique. They are perfect for strength /endurance training .


Why choose kettlebells over traditional gym based Training ?

We class kettlebell training as metabolic training that is they train you aerobically & anaerobically at the same time , this is a very efficient form of training and is perfect for fat loss and sporting efficiency.
They also work the posterior chain muscles & core to a high degree .


What size kettlebell should I purchase ?

As a general rule of thumb , the average female with some gym experience should start with an 8kg bell for a male a 12kg or 16kg minimum , for a strong male a 24kg bell should be chosen.


Are Kettlebells the best tools for bodybuilding ?

Absolutely not ,there are better tools for bodybuilders and there is little focus on the negative portion of the repetition.


Will I put on large amounts of muscle ?

No but you will tone your physique , increase your work capacity and lose body fat if combined with a reduced calorie diet.


Are they dangerous & or will I injure myself ?

As there is a certain amount of technique involved with kettlebell training ,the movements must be taught face to face or as a minimum a good instructional video must be studied , we recommend at least 1 session with our qualified instructors.
