Follow on Google News | The Reality of Getting Your Ex BackThere are some very basic issues that must be resolved before you can successfully save your relationship. These must be in order for a relationship to last.
By: Leo Goodyear Nobody is perfect. In a relationship each partner has his/her own faults. If one partner makes out that the other party is all at fault then he/she is not facing reality. While it is very common that one will see fault in another person and not in oneself, you have to be very careful. In practically all of the relationships each party will keep a scorecard of the other party's faults. That's why couples squabble all the time. Any events will trigger a record in the scorecard, and you will bring it up, and your partner will bring up some records too. So actually most relationships are actually trudging along in survival mode, until one day either one or both cannot put up with it anymore. The reason why scores get kept is that one does not want to voice one's concerns for fear of creating another fight. If you let it slide it might go away. But it does not, and this will actually make the relationship deteriorate over time. Sometimes after a big fight some of the issues get cleared up, but before long the grievances accumulates once again. So it is important to address the issues as they come up. It would be nice if a troubled relationship can start with a clean sheet of paper, but it is not possible because of all the records on the scorecards. There is no delete button, you must face them. The only remedy is to undo them one by one, as they come up. And make sure they don't happen again. This will take commitment and dedication. Unfortunately most people are not willing to go to such lengths. Let me remind you a relationship is for life, and anything for life is worth your dedication. If you only want a temporary relationship you are reading the wrong article.
