No one has doubt that many of today's leaders across the globe in various walks of life came from BITS Pilani yesterday and many of tomorrow's leaders will continue to come from BITS Pilani today.

For them, the years spent at BITS in Pilani or Goa or Dubai or Hyderabad campuses or in the Off Campus for the Work Integrated Learning programmes – WILP can never never be forgotten.

Every BITSian carries lifelong fond memories of the Transformational Experience at BITS which is a result of many things which include  the admission process, innovative teaching and evaluation methods, excellent student-faculty rapport, unique academic flexibilities, research opportunities, the access to one of the best libraries in the country, the white marble Saraswati temple which is owners pride and neighbors envy, one of the finest World Class Science Museum, a vibrant environment for pursuing an array of extracurricular activities and many many more.

Students and alumni of BITS have been hearing about the BITSAA Global Meet - BGM Jan 7- 9 2011 at Delhi fireworks by now, through the decibels it’s creating among the BITSian circles through various alumni chapter meetings, Face Book, Twitter, Yahoo Groups and what not.

The BITSAA Global Meet - BGM aims to get together BITSians from across the world at one place. Until now, there have been many many chapter-wise get togethers in various cities and various Gold – Silver – Pearl – Coral and Anmol Jubilee reunions of particular batches at Pilani but never a gathering of BITSians from across all generations, all batches and all 4 campuses as well as Off Campuses. It will be a wonderful opportunity to meet long lost friends, classmates and also to make some very useful contacts. The theme of the BGM 2011 is "Transforming Society, Enterprises & Academics through Innovation."

The Global Meet will be a stellar constellation of BITS alumni who are who is Who Chairmen, Managing Directors, COOs, CEOs, CIOs, Scientists, Presidents and Vice Presidents, Techies, Entrepreneurs, Media Moghuls, Educators, Realtors as well as Consultants of lead institutions spread across the globe. Imagine a gathering having a matrix of BITSians from across the globe who are Dreamers, Performers, Achievers and Leaders who know the way, go the way and show the way in applying technology to improve lives across society and they will all be there at BGM.

The 3 days of the meet are going to be filled with a multitude of activities including keynote speeches, plenary sessions, cultural programs, etc to suit varied interests. Eminent industrialists, academicians and entrepreneurs shall be present to participate in the discussions.  Apart from Discussions, the 4D Networking BGM includes Drinks Dance Dinner and set the Directions for taking the alma mater to greater heights. The 3 days in short will recreate the magic of years of stay at BITS in the best possible manner and rejuvenate the participant also.

For the Hindus its Benaras - Kashi and Rameshwaram, for the Christians its Vatican, for the Sikhs its Amritsar, for the Buddhists its Bodh Gaya, for the Muslims its Mecca and so on. For BITSians who are the alumni of Birla Institute of Technology and Science – BITS Pilani participating in BITSAA Global Meet is indeed a pilgrimage and a mission with passion for Thanksgiving to their alma mater and the Journey Continues...
