The first is a powerful 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower, available on the 2.5i, 2.5i Premium and Outback Sport models. The second engine comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that delivers 224 horsepower and is available on the 2.5GT.

Interior features of the new 2011 Impreza offers easily readable gauges with simple layout as well as comfortable seating. Amenities on the Impreza include air conditioning, an audio system with MP3/WMA capability, power windows and mirrors. As for cargo room, the Impreza sedan offers 11.3 cubic feet of cargo space in the trunk. Although the new 2011 model has yet to be crash tested, the 2010 model of the Impreza earned a top score of five stars for both driver and passenger protection in a front-end collision in government crash tests.  It also received five stars for front passenger protection in a side-impact collision and four stars for rear passenger protection in a side-impact collision. As for rollover testing last year, the 2010 Impreza model earned a four-star rating in rollover testing, indicating that it only has a 10 percent chance of rollover in a single vehicle crash.
