Fort Myers Orthopedic Shoe Store, Foot Solutions-Estero, Collects Over 500 Pairs of Shoes for Needy

Nov. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- Foot Solutions of Estero would like to thank the Southwest FL community for their overwhelming response to a recent shoe drive, collecting gently used shoes for the non-profit organization, Soles4Souls.  Since the announcement of the shoe drive at the beginning of this month, over 500 pairs of shoes have been dropped off to Foot Solutions of Estero and distributed to charitable organizations providing footwear for people in need locally and worldwide.

“We have been amazed at the high level of response we’ve had, and are glad to see that people in our community are showing their support,” said Foot Solutions of Estero owner, Chris Cole.  “We are still encouraging people to bring in their gently used shoes, and will now be distributing most of the donations to local charities that provide footwear to families that are in need here in our Southwest Florida communities.”

To thank the community for their efforts, Foot Solutions of Estero is continuing to offer a $15 gift certificate to those who bring in shoes to be donated during the month of November.  

“If people are planning to bring in shoes this week, we would encourage them to come in on Friday or Saturday, the 26th & 27th,” said Cole.  “That way, the donations will be distributed in time for the holidays, and those who are donating shoes can also take advantage of our Black Friday and Holiday sidewalk sale. They can bring in their used shoes, and can purchase new shoes that will be discounted up to 70%, so it’s a win for everyone!”

Bring gently used shoes to Foot Solutions of Estero in the Corkscrew Village Shopping Center, on the corner of Corkscrew Road and U.S. 41 (next to Publix).  For more information, call 239- 495-8911 or e-mail estero@footsolutions.com .  Hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m - 5p.m., Closed Sundays.  Black Friday and Holiday sale hours will be Fri, Nov. 26th and Sat., Nov. 27th from 10am – 6pm.
