Nov. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- The 2011 Acadia is equipped with a powerful 3.6-liter V-6 engine, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with either front-wheel drive or an optional all-wheel drive. The 3.6-liter V-6 engine produces 288-horsepower with up to 5,200 pounds towing ability.
The engine’s direct-injection technology helps increases efficiency, allowing the Acadia to receive 16-17 mpg in the city and 23-24 mpg on the highway. To ensure maximum comfort, the New Acadia offers spacious interior with an overall of 116 cubic feet of cargo storage when both second- and third-row seats are folded flat.

The New Acadia is available in four trim levels: SL, SLE, SLT-1, and SLT-2.  The SL trim comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, front and rear air conditioning, power accessories, cruise control, and a six speaker CD/MP3 stereo system with XM satellite radio. As for the SLE trim, it adds foglamps, a power liftgate, remote ignition, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Bluetooth, rear parking sensors along with a back-up camera.

Unlike the two previous trims, the SLT-1 offers 19-inch wheels, heated mirrors, a variable-assist steering system, trizone automatic climate control, rear audio controls and headphone jacks, leather upholstery, heated front seats and a ten-speaker Bose stereo with a USB audio jack. The premium SLT-2 offers additional features such as 20-inch chrome wheels, power-folding heated mirrors with driver-side auto-dimming, leather upholstery, and a towing preparation package. The upscale Denali trim level is also available if buyers wish for more additional amenities.

Placing safety as top priority, safety features on the new 2011 Acadia come with an advanced airbag system including frontal and side-impact for the driver and front passenger along with a head curtain side-impact for all rows in outboard seating positions.

Additional features that are also available include: the StabiliTrak stability-control system and brake assist with traction control, a one-year subscription to OnStar’s Directions and Connections plan which comes with an automatic crash response, stolen vehicle assistance, remote door unlock, roadside assistance, turn-by-turn navigation, hands-free calling, and vehicle diagnostics.
